Zebra black cheek question

Post by kyro » Thu May 14, 2015 8:22 pm

I have a black cheek hen paired with a BFBC cock. Both are visually NG but the hen is split pied. How is it that they sometimes produce all white birds? Would the hen being split to pied account for this?

Both are now old birds so I stopped breeding them but they still lay eggs.

I need to see a picture of the all white birds... if the all white birds have tears and are hens there is a possibility the male is split to CFW.

Yup all birds are hens with tear marks. I bought the cock from a breeder years ago and forgot to ask about its genetics. At that time it was hard to find a breeder who would sell a black cheek what more a bcbf. I was just so happpy to get him. The in thing in zebra here in the Philippines is 3b, full orange/orange fronted and yellow beaks.

father is split to CFW which is sex linked... he will give you some visual CFW hens since he is not paired to a visual cfw hen. His sons will be split to CFW.

His daughters will give you split to cfw males if not paired with visual or split to CFW males
