Society Pairings

Post by Raleighwheels » Sat Jun 06, 2015 9:12 pm

I'm kicking off my society breeding here soon. I have some new birds that are in quarantine, but are well over a year old. I don't have names for the new ones yet, so I'll refer to them ask cock/hen and a number. I was just looking for some suggestions for pairings.

Societies are often a mix match of genes and split for other unknown colours which tends to often throw out unexpected colours in offspring.

Here's a link to a website explaining some of the colour inheritance
http://www.nbfa.co.uk/page11.html
which might help you decide

btw the fawn hen #1 looks a bit off form, maybe she just took a bath but if not you might want to keep a watchful eye on her
