Yellow body Red Face Star Finch mutation.

Post by morne » Sat Jul 11, 2015 6:19 pm

Hi everyone!

My wife and I would like to get some yellow body star finches but they are very hard to come by here in Australia.

Would anyone be able to provide us with a genetic forecast for the breeding of Cinnamon and Fawn coloured star finches with the main objective being to breed full yellow body star finches?

With there being so many possible combinations we wouldn't even know where to start or which combinations would even be the right ones.

Your help will be much appreciated.

Kind regards,
Morne.

Well I'm sorry about that. The only other person I know of that works heavily with Star finches is Frank Tromp. He doesn't have a website, but is on Facebook. Sally might have contact information for you to send him an email. Scott Golden may also work with Stars...

Frank Tromp can be reached at avpac@yahoo.com. I don't normally post anyone's email address on this public forum, but this email address is readily available on many websites, so I don't see a problem with doing so now.
