Color help, what mutation? Please!!!
I'm new to finches and now have two beautiful boys! I'm having a lot of trouble figuring out their color mutation. One I believe is pied, he looks cute because he only has one tear mark, and no orange cheek color. The other is the one I have NO IDEA. I have spent days looking at color mutations trying to figure out what he could be classified as. He is mostly white with a very light gray, almost blue, on his back, he has a small bit of orange for his cheeks, and he has the classic brown with white spots under his wings... He is quite the looker! I could REALLY use some help! what color mutation is he? Am I right about the other male being pied? All help will be greatly appreciated!

I don't know anything about Zebra mutations, but I wanted to welcome you to the forum! There's lots of good reading at www.finchinfo.com, where you will find many articles on finch care and especially the Zebra finch. If you put your general location in your profile, it makes it easier to answer locale-specific questions later on.

The first looks to be a pied penguin. The second looks to be a normal gray pied.

Wow, a penguin pied would be very cool! But I had no idea it was possible to have the two color mutations together at the same time like that. I googled penguin pied and got no results, the only thing that came up were talking about them separately. Is it possible to have a penguin pied? Can every color mutation be pied if bred right? Thank you for your help!
