this is one of the young from the European Isabel BB/ob and his mate a FFOBBB, can't wait to see how it colors out... the pair also give me visual BB males and females (pictured hen)

Cindy, your female pictured will be split Isabel since one parent showed it and it is fully recessive, so it has to give an Isabel to all chicks.

Please post a picture of the dark one when colored out. I am very interested to see what it looks like. It looks very dark for a FS, which is what it has to be if the parent is FF. Could the mate be FS? Or maybe it is just the lighting in the picture making it look so dark. I find it hard to get pictures that accurately show the colors of the birds a lot of the time.

there is no guarantee until bred to another isabel and they actually produce isabel... with as many mutations at play in the mix not all will be split to isabel

the dark on is colored out.. the same parent that produced the sf FFOBBB give me visual BB... they have for the last 3 clutches. The one pictured is a hen and she is displaying show faults in the breast.

Visual BB sibling from the first clutch, interesting markings as well. There are possibilities of splits to the other mutations from the parents though she looks more BB. Tail has the white no hint of orange but not all splits to mutations will show visible markers for them.

She is very interesting, isn't she? So dark for a FS...

If a parent shows a recessive characteristic, then all the babies have to carry it. So if the parent is a visual Isabel, the babies ARE split to it. They won't demonstrate it till they produce an Isabel chick by being bred to either a visual Isabel or a bird split to it, but they have to carry it if one parent was visual for it. That is basic genetics.
