Yellow Gouldian feather color

I have an orange faced white breasted yellow back female, but I've now noticed maybe 2 or 3 small dark colored feathers I see mixed in the yellow feathers. Is this normal/abnormal, and/or can this give hints to genetic makeup, as I don't know who the parents are. Thanks for your help!

If you post a picture it would help a lot.
Are your positive your YH.WB.Pastel is a hen and not a male?
There can be variations in colors. Not sure about dark feathers on a yellow body, though a SF Pastel male would be more likely to have darker feathers here or there.

I had to take a video and wait for her to puff up while preening so you can see it in a screenshot easier. there are a couple of feathers in the tail area and one up by the head. I'm pretty confident it's a female.

I'm sure it's just a variation in color and not all that unusual.

I would need to see the front, but hens are only ever SF, only males can be either.

can females be split to anything? I'll try to take a pic of the front when I get home.

Hens can be split to Blue if that's what you mean. Hens can have head and breast splits too
