Gouldian molting 2016
This is my fist full year with gouldians and I've read about the diet other hints during molting..... I think my adult birds have started molting but I'm wondering if it's too soon? Its hard to tell because my juveniles are molting in a cage nearby so feathers are everywhere but I do see just a couple of white lines in the faces like new feathers are coming in. Wasn't sure if when molting typically started and stopped in the US. everything I've read has a really large range.

Re: Gouldian molting 2016
If you put your general area where you live in your profile it helps answering more specific questions.
Gouldians generally molt when the days are a bit longer and warmer. Mine molt in sync every spring and then breed after. They are done breeding by the end of December and rest till they molt again in spring.
Keep in mind when you read about gouldians in Australia their winter is our summer here in the US.
