Hi Debbie! 2 Quick gouldian genetic questions..please

Debbie, I need your expertise. Im about to purchase this lovely fellow. Is this little guy a SF or DF "silver"? If he is SF is he considered a Pastel Blue?
Also, Im getting two outcomes when breeding this fellow with a RH PB GB normal female. One calculator says only the females are visibly yellow (males are pastel), the OTHER calculator says males and females can be born yellow.

Which one should I believe?

In the picture he looks like a LB is that correct?
Chin looks white so I would say a DF Pastel Blue, if he were SF he would be a SF Pastel Blue
Hard to tell if the colors are true without others to compare.

You would get SF Pastel/Blue (visually lighter green color and grey chin) males and Pastel/Blue (visually yellow) hens

Ahhh Thanks a million Debbie! And I was trying to judge by the ring, but I see its just the area right under the chin. When I zoom way in on the picture it definitely looks tan or white, not grey or bluish.

I may have my first YB babies ! Im so excited! Thats Madcat's beauty by the way! ;) So only hen's will be yellow. This is so much fun!

Yep, I would need Debbie to expain the genetics involved to make these guys. Ill be researching it more in the next few weeks to understand his colors as well.

To get a Pastel Blue your male has 2 Pastel genes and 2 Blue genes. If he was Single Factor he would have 1 Pastel and 2 Blue genes to be visually white bodied in a LilacBreast or WhiteBreast and would also have a more grey chin then white.
