I wonder about the genetics of the Seagreen Gouldian. 3 Different friends of mine, each has one.
Is the parblue / seagreen gene linked to the blue gene or the green back gene? I suppose that time will tell, the one friend has his paired with a blue split, if the pairing produces blue chicks, then the mutation is linked to blue. Perhaps the first blue gouldians looked like this, some green and some blue feathers and with selective breeding, it came out completely blue.

The green and blue are quite vibrant! Almost like a mosaic?!

GouldianGuy I don't think that the bird of the first photo is a good example. It is not supposed to be so patchy. Here is another Whatsapp friend of mine's seagreen. This one is a better example of seagreen.
