I think two java finches are living near me

I have seen for weeks and weeks two birds that look like a grey zebra finch but did not put anything up because when I saw them close they didn't have the orange checks or markings of a zebra instead they had a black head and was grey with bright orange/red beak. At the time I never heard of java finches so I just presumed it was a wild finch. But the other day I was on here and seen the name and I searched them and they look exactly like them also there tweet is the same however these are healthy as they have been here for weeks and flying very well they seem to stay up high on the cable lines though and houses across the path.

Just wondering if these could possibly survive in the uk,England ,Manchester or if they are just a wild finch that looks similar

Put out a plate of seeds, and a dish of water, if they are Javas (especially former pets) they will come to the food eventually.

Not sure if Javas could survive through an English Winter, after all they are Asian birds. I honestly don't know how cold your Winters get.

By the way, Javas are considerably bigger than Zebra Finches, so if these birds are Zebra sized then they are not Javas.

Okay I will try snap a picture but now uve said that they are only around a zebra size but i don't know definetly because they have always been about 5 metres away,".

Also it isn't winter in England yet it is around summer time not been really cold just a little rain

Yes however I once had a zebra finch this big a white one aswell I will see if I have a picture
