keep in mind OB and BC conflict.... the OB will change the BC to orange...
explain the abbreviation OF and OC.... have not seen these abbreviation when working with zebra mutations.

Re: Help needed in pairing - Zebra Finch
Hi
Some small corrections
There is no such as bird Who is split to BF
BfxBF could be lethal wich results on a high amount of DIS
Good luck

Re: Help needed in pairing - Zebra Finch
you should not pair dominants to dominant, crested is another dominant gene. You can get DIS or deformed babies. Birds can not be split to a dominant gene... they can only be that mutation visually.haroun wrote: Hi

Re: Help needed in pairing - Zebra Finch
Assume the OC is then referring to crested....here in the states we call it crested. (C)haroun wrote: Can u put a pic of ur silver with the owl crest
OF.... assume it is orange faced, we do not use those abbreviations in the states... we refer to it as what mutations created it.... example: OBBFBB

3B
Grey BFBB male Grey BCBB Female=50.0% >> Gray, Black Face(SF) , Black Breast / Black Cheeked
50.0% >> Gray, Black Breast / Black Cheeked
THEN back cross the cock with his mother or with this Lightback BCBB female
Gray, Black Face(SF) , Black Breast / Black Cheeked male Grey BCBB Female= Gray, Black Face(SF) , Black Breast , Black Cheeked (3B)
or cross the outcomes of
(1)Grey BFBB male Grey BCBB Female
(2)Grey BFBB male * Lightback BCBB female
Gray, Black Face(SF) , Black Breast / Black Cheeked (1) male x Gray, Black Breast / Black Cheeked female(2)
Gray , Black Breast / Black Cheeked (1) xGray, Black Face(SF) , Black Breast / Black Cheeked (2) female
or BFBB/BC (2) x BB/BC(1)
BB/BC(2)x BFBB/BC(1)
indeed in 2years

Re: Help needed in pairing - Zebra Finch
cindy : It should be OBBFBB instead of OF-Orange face and OC - Orange cheeks OB - Orange Breast
@haroun : I have mentioned it as BCBB split not BF split as i am aware of dominant gene can never be splits. As the parents of that was BFBB * BCBB
@haroun : Lol owl creast is something like two tuff on either side of head. I dont have it anymore gave it away dont have the pic also
