I think it's a Society, but the Japanese may call them something else. Just thought it was pretty when I saw it.

The first one looks like a kind of dilute society to me, but the second one's butt pattern seems off for the species.

Icearstorm do these have to have the V CROSS markings on there chest to be fawn self if so hopefully I might get one in my clutch as I have 2 breeding pair with the v cross :

Are you talking about the scale pattern on the light areas of the belly or something else? It seems that self societies don't need the scaling, though it is preferred.

Yes that's what I mean the scaling on the belly wasn't quite sure what to call it so always say V

I saw a perfect self fawn at a petland recently. They sell societies for $40 though :/

Wow, that's expensive. Though I've never seen a fawn self in real life, so it might be worth it!

Yeah, I wanted to see if I could find out where they got it, so I could contact the breeder directly but didn't have a chance, and kind of doubt they'd tell me anyway. I'm curious now if it's still there.

Icearstorm would u not have to get a ginger fawn and breed with a pearl with the scale pattern because my clutches off these come out with every time 2 browny/ginger and 1 grey or black with the scale pattern if you had one ginger with better genes maybe it would come out ginger with the scale pattern making it one ?

I went back to the store and I'm pretty sure it's the same one still there. Either way, the one there isn't a full self, the back has a big white section (we always remember things better than they are right?). Everything else looks great though, just not $40 great ha

I'd probably get the best result if I bred European self fawns or fawn splits, as they tend to have higher contrast scaling than the American selfs. At the moment I have three chocolate selfs that look about half European, but I don't know their color splits.

Oh, well. I thought I saw a nice chocolate self at a PetSmart once, but looking back, it was probably just my imagination.

It's actually got the same blue ring as the picture you put up aswell which is a considence
