So I'm borrowing a zebra from a friend to breed with my zebra and she has a very pale beak and also very pale legs. I'm just wondering if there is a chance this a yellow beak? Or is there some nutrients or vitamins she is lacking in? My friend has not had very long at all.

it is possible, can you post a picture, that will help. hen yellow beaks (YB, recessive gene) can have pale flesh colored legs, beak to a yellow beak.

Below is a pair I had yrs ago.... the young will have black beaks which will change to a variation of yellow..males can have orange to yellow, hens will have a light flesh color to yellow.

If the hen is a YB then the chicks will be split to YB

the light legs.... I have seen feet that are pale almost white in ill birds.

As far as the legs being light indicating a mutation... the only leg color that changes as far as I know is the yellow beak mutation, the legs feet change to a lighter color to yellow.

there is no way to determine visually if the bird is split to yellow beak.

Tip: With any new bird you bring into your flock you should quarantine no less than 90 day, some avian viruses can live in the body for up to 9 months or more. They look fine and perfect but be carriers or hide illness until their bodies can't hide it any longer.
