So is there anything you could say they are definitely split for or do you need close ups of parents and babies?

there are slight markers you can often see for recessive splits but often the birds do not have to show them, the only way you know if the pair carries splits is if the bird produces it.... some sex linked split markers can show a little on males, hens can not be split to sexlinked mutations.

So here's a pic of one of my juveniles. haroun , cindy does it look split bb or ob ? I can post more pics of the other babies if needed. There is 3 speckled babies.

Hi Flight Feathers i checked the Last pic first from my smart and again from my pc, i can say cleary that color in its back and wings is not orange but brown (fawn), all split for bb or ob marks if they exist are hiden by thr White.
For me it's saddleback fawn (a faulty but nice one)

Okay thanks, so the bb or ob split is what causes the wing speckles? Because if I am right the pied gene cannot cause these speckles, it must already be on the bird?

Not sure, I think they may have gotten darker speckles now.
