Telling colors of baby zebs?

Hi all!

I’m just wondering how to give a rough estimate of what color a baby zeb will be before it grows it’s feathers? So for instance I know that babies that have patchy pink and black skin are pied babies, and babies with pink skin can be fawns, whites, rcfw, etc. So what about black skin? I’m guessing both normal and black face have Black skin but are there any other colors that are black skinned? Is it possible to identify all the different skin colors of baby Zebs and therefore be able to visually tell what color each baby will be before it grows feathers? I currently have a whole nest of black skinned babies and the parents are rcfw and fawn. Note that both parents have thin tear marks. Does this mean these “black skinned” babies could be bb or ob? I never usually have a whole nest of black skinned babies - usually all my babies are pink. (And they all turned out to be whites and fawns) And also if all the babies are black skinned can I then presume there is no cfw or fawn in this clutch?

Thanks in advance!

They were all black skinned as babies. All my fawn babies have usually been pink skinned. I have new pics now and they are looking more like normals.

They’ve started leaving the nest now! There’s 4 normals and 1 cfw hen. The normals show signs of ob in the wings and tail bars although they have black tear marks. Is there such thing as an ob that has a black tear mark ??

There were 2 eggs that didn’t hatch. One a bit bigger than the other but neither egg was tiny. Both had started developing and then died.

yes if the tear mark is thin , with other mark that u named then they could be split for Orange b or could be faulty OB (Faulty tear mark witch is nothing if u're not interested in exhibition)

Yes lots of orange and white lacing in the wings. Also looks like some orange in the tail bars on some chicks
