Awwwww, Candace, that is really too bad. I'm so sorry you lost her. She certainly was unique. I was curious to see her after her moult also. ((( hugs )))

So sorry for your loss, Candace. You are right, it is very frustrating when you don't have a clue as to what happened.

even more frustrating when the bird is unusual.

hope you get a replacement next time the parents breed
Addicted to Finches, yes I do admit it.
I pray they never find a cure.

I am very sorry for your loss. :( It is never easy to lose a bird, especially a favorite.
All of my single factor yellows have green spots, even the females.

Pretty bird, yes my single factors usually have some specs of green, but that hen's pattern and the darkness of the spots I thought to be unique.... Too bad she died. I would of liked to have seen her fully colored

Where are you located Katie? Do you sell/swap your birds?

I am in Kansas City, MO. I do sell and trade, but I don't ship. :/ I might have to figure that out though because a lot of people have been asking me lately...
