What the.....
When these 3 were born all had white nodules...still do. But why are there green feathers growing out on top of the grey feathers.

I've seen this before too.
The white nodule doesn't seem to ALWAYS indicate blue babies.

Re: What the.....
I had one that had very pale nodules... thought it was a blue,...but no, turned into a green. Though I wonder if it will be one of the split to blues?
Both parents are split to blues so they could throw blues, /blues or normals.
Tiffany, do you think the white nods could indicate /blue?

Not necessarily, I have babies that I know are /blue that do not have the white middle nodules.CandoAviary wrote:I had one that had very pale nodules... thought it was a blue,...but no, turned into a green. Though I wonder if it will be one of the split to blues?

Maybe in some cases, but I wouldn't bet my money on it :\
Sometimes, too, when they are just hatched the nodules look whiter and as they get older they are more yellow.

Wow - never trust Mother Nature, she can throw some funny curve balls once (or twice) in a while!
