Is this baby's back just a little on the pastel side for being a green He is 3 months old, and already colouring up, it appears that all but my blues colour up quickly. Must be because I am more anxious to see him in full plumage

He certainly looks wonderful and I love his "bling bling" too!

Are you asking if he is a dilute? It's possible! Does the Genetic Forecaster indicate that you can get both greens and dilutes from the parents?

Thanks Liz...first baby gouldian that I ever banded.

Both genetic forecasters, indicate that they should either be blue or split for blues.

I think when they get the lighter greens that are around the edges first it is a tease. He will be a green. Even on greens they have paler green feathers on the edges.
