Sunshine's boys

Post by dfcauley » Thu Mar 18, 2010 8:13 pm

The last cluch of babies that Sunshine gave me have mostly turned out to be white breasted. Here are two of them that are completely colored up. I found it interesting if you look closely you will see that one has a red line and the other doesn't. I thought this intersting. The one on the bottom is a really BIG boy. The one right above him is his brother .

the red line is called a fusion bar.
it will appear in some birds but not others.
Addicted to Finches, yes I do admit it.
I pray they never find a cure.

Those are beautiful birds, Donna! I'd keep the one with the red line.

Donna,

I promised you a picture of a YB male with a true red line - here is a picture of Winnie's male

See how bold and striking it is? I didn't see this on your yellow boys the other day. :(
