Rancel...graham crackers have in 1 cup crushed 26g of sugar, 508mg of sodium, 65g carbs, 8g of fat....that is a lot for a bird. My vet told me the worst thing people do is give their birds crackers and high sugar, high carb foods not meant for bird. High sugar contents in foods can lead to yeast growth...personally I would skip the sweet sugary empty carbs and stick to the boiled egg, grated veggies mixed in with the seed. Anything high in carbs and sugars with be stored in the muscle of the birds and if not burned off will turn to fat and lead to health issues, just like it does in people, dogs and cats. The calcium is only 20.2mg....egg shell and grated cuttlebone is just as good.

this is the nutritional chart on graham crackers

The biggest concern is the sugars, to much sugar can cause all kinds of issues. Easily fixed lots of fresh veggies instead.

Totally agree with Cindy, the nutritional data site is great for checking on things you want to feed.
Another great site is the USDA nutrition site http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/foodcomp/search/

Rancel...it is "processed" human food...snack food. I would not be adding extra sugar to your birds diet. Try whole wheat flour or ground flaxseed instead.

It is a "snack/junk food for humans". 16 grams of carbs they do not need. To much sugar in the birds diet can lead to kidney issues, digestive tract issues etc.

Your label reads as it does for your package.

Have you been feeding this to the birds while medicating them, especially the one with antibiotics? The antibiotics can knock down the flora in the digestive tract and then adding additional sugars in the mix can lead to yeast growth. I would strongly suggest you switch back to veggies and just boiled egg...something less filled with carbs and sugar.

try grinding flax seed and bee pollen and adding it on the side or mixed into the egg food. Bee pollen is loaded with good things for them, flaxseed contains protieins (higher than most seeds) and some carbs (good ones).

You can get flax seed from health food stores, but it can also be found in many grocery stores now.

Rancel...Publix has it, go to the spice section or the right near the snack section they have clear plastic containers of all natural...it is near the containers of apricots, pretzles near the drinks and nut aisle on an end cap. I got a nice size container for under $2.00.
