Egg food 50 lb bag
I was at a country store today and I was walking by the poultry section. I noticed that they have a wide variety of chick feed that is very hi in protein and calcium. I was wondering if any body has ever used any of these products for finches. All I know is that I go through quite a large amount of egg food every month. It would be nice to add something like this to my egg food it was pretty cheap and you could buy it up to 50 lb bags. Any body have any thoughts or ideahs ?

There are many breeders that use chick starter, just be sure to get the un-medicated one.

I tend to rotate through dry components of my egg food - mostly because I can't determine which is "best".debbie276 wrote: There are many breeders that use chick starter, just be sure to get the un-medicated one.

Unmedicated game bird starter is another option. If the crumbles are a little large, you can put them in the blender/food processor to grind them down smaller. As the others have said, just make sure you get the unmedicated kind.
