Bob a bit of a mix up so no need to apologize, now we know. The lady that told you this may in fact have a routine that works and is simple so please don't change what works for you. I use these seeds as most of my birds here will live in an outside aviery with no heating except for their own body heat so these seeds are still given with the addition to extra millet to help them not gorge on the fat seeds. The different fats which comes from these seeds are all beneficial to there every day health. The black and white feedings I have heard being used alot with gouldians. Bob lets put this mistake behind and hope that finch head may find some useful info from here.
