My first hatchlings!

Although they are technically passerines, canaries tend to be managed uniquely, so here is a forum just for them!

Congratulations and enjoy this time with them. I remember my first time last year and it was an incredible moment. Even now I get so excited when I have canary chicks hatching and growing. The whole process is a wonderful mother nature moment!

Great news! Your next proudest moment will be when your first produced male belts out his first little song. IMO, NOTHING in the bird world compares to the song of a well bred song canary. It's in their genes and it's in their heritage. (just don't get too carried away as I did and allow a dozen male singers try to outperform each other throughout the daylight hours in your living room. may get a bit of resentment from the rest of the family) Bob
