canary ID please. consort or not?

Although they are technically passerines, canaries tend to be managed uniquely, so here is a forum just for them!

Thanks lizzy, debbie and fhgwgads...

Im gonna pair him up with my crested cinnamon green hen. They are in my flight cage together and their giving me sign to put them in a breeding cage. Hahahaha. Maybe they cant wait though... ill put them in breeding cage in a couple of weeks so they can get to know more and a bit excited... [-X

hhhmmmnnnn... just wondering whats the color mutation he has... im not an expert but it looks like green for me. Im not sure though coz of the yellowish white on his tail feathers. (See pic above).
I guess ill wait for the other mutation experts here to ID the color...

Thanks.

I've bred and raised many, many canaries in the past, but sorry genetics was not my specialty. I always put more emphasis into learning about behavior and health. Some of the crosses I created, canary purists would probably consider sacrilege. For example pairing a $300.00 pedigree show songster with a $25.00 flea market hen. Why? Because I liked her color and it worked for me. Beautiful bird you have regardless. Bob
3 canaries
2 orange cheeked waxbill finches
2 java finches, 1 split to normal, 1 white
2 bourke parakeets
1 american staffordshire/american pit bull terrier
1 boston/jack russel terrier mix
6 adopted stray cats
2 adult, 1 young leopard gecko
4 fish tanks and 4 fish bowls
3 turtles
2 teenage kids and 1 wife

30 Seconds to Bob as I see it.. love is love! I am not that great with genetics either and too focus more on health and behavior but I believe what's meant to be is meant to be and everything happens for a reason. I don't have any show birds but as far as I'm concerned all my babies are equal! Even my little one-eyed crooked-beaked monster!!
