beak clicking

Although they are technically passerines, canaries tend to be managed uniquely, so here is a forum just for them!

Adam, just noticed your post when I was about to log off so I am going to have to keep you waiting on the lovebird issue. Also think that discussion has to move to the non-finch topics. I'll post a link here when I can respond to it. The short answer is yes/no.

You are the first to tell me seeing each other could cause a problem. The canaries cannot see each other but the canaries and the green singer are on opposite sides of the same room. I had planned on moving the green singer so when he gets resettled hopefully he will return to his normal self. Thanks! Gotta go for now. Cheers!

derk i read somewhere i think on this forum i cant really remember anymore that with male canaries, they sing more if they don't see but can hear each other. so its worth a try if you can accommodate the setup.

i will wait for your link about lovebirds a few weeks ago i almost bought one.

Hi,

So after a few weeks, i can now confirm happily that the beak cliquing is not a medical condition. it seems like a way of communication. he is doing it less than before.

I got this Hen Yesterday after 3 weeks of searching for a mosaic hen. she is very cute, but doesn't sit still for me to take better pics.
