New member to the family!
So I went to the Mid American Feather Fair today to sell some birds
And I did pretty good too. Sold all of the Zebra Finches I had available.
But not my other birds, dang. XD
And even though I didn't intend to I got a new bird, my very first Canary!
Bird Fairs are dangerous places lol.
So here she is my new Canary, Ruby!

Re: New member to the family!
Thank you delray. I just love her! I've always wanted a red-factor canary and now I have one. They said she is called a Bronze-factor Canary (can't remember what type though lol). They told me that when she is done with her molt she will be even more beautiful then she is now (provided I give her red-factor egg food). And they also said she is of show quality! So happy & excited! And I was told that when I go to get her a mate it is best to pair her with a Red-factor or Lizard Canary. I'm just so happy to finally have a Canary of my very own!

Very pretty colour. Yes, after her molt, she will be quite lovely. One word of caution regarding colour food. Don't over do it, it can be hard on the health of the little guys. Personally, I prefer using natural foods for colour, but then you don't get the dark reds, just a beautiful deep orange.
I am sure you are aware of the fact that usually only males have the beautiful song. However, females do have a pretty chirp, and some do sing a little. Very few have a pretty little song. That said, the girl usually are sweet and friendly, if you work with them.
Congratulations.
