Red Bronze Canary
I am seeing canaries with this coloration at bird shows. I was told this color was called "Red Bronze". Does anyone know if these require color feeding, like other Red Factor Canaries, to acquire this coloration? I am guessing 'Yes'... I really like them - may have to get one some day!

Pretty sure they're just red factors that retain their natural dark patterns. If they weren't red factor, they'd be green, while the solid reds would be white or yellow. They need color feeding to stay like that.

Yes, they definitely require color feeding. I have three. Without color feeding, they are a yellowish, brown color....bronze colored, like the actual metal. I love the deep red they get when color fed, so I give my guys quicko red egg food.

i give them colouring in water, they retain colour much better than normal red factors though
