Male fights Sitting hen when she leaves nest
Have a pair of American singers that up till now have got along well. She laid 4 eggs and has been sitting tight on them for 9 days. For the last two days he has fought with her when she leaves the nest and tries to eat. During this time I have seen him feed her only once. Prior to this he would sit on the nest when she left to eat. Worried she isn't allowed to eat. Any advice is appreciated as I am new to this.

That's an interesting one....
Males will feed females when they are incubating, or will take their place in the nest, when the girls need a break.
If he is getting very aggressive, I would remove him into another cage.
If you choose to go this route, I would place food and water very close to the nest, so that your girl won't have far to go to eat and drink.
Although my Luciano, is an excellent father (would feed his bride, take turns in the nest, and later fed all of his children very diligently ), many Canary males, do not really do much to help with raising the kids. So if you do remove him, Mama bird, should be OK on her own.
Good luck.
