canary beak over grown!

Although they are technically passerines, canaries tend to be managed uniquely, so here is a forum just for them!

Justin was that the Ronex and the Herb Salad? The Herb Salad is essentially a food and will last a long while. I'm sure the shipping was quite a bit if you're sending it overnight. I know the shell shock...and I know you're not really complaining, but you would be so upset if she dies. This may save her. Hopefully she's not past the point of no return. I'm praying she's not. Justin, Are you sure you didn't put two in the cart? I bought some for someone recently and paid....1 x Water soluble treatment for protozoa infections in caged birds. - $40.89
SKU: Ronivet-S
Ronivet : 12% - 100 gram
Plus shipping for 1lb is about $7 I think. I can see it might have gone up a little since May but not that much. It's about double and a little more in price, that's why I ask. She didn't mail it yet I'm sure so just double check.
I didn't get a canary, and I'm just too sick to travel 3 hours each way to to New Hampshire...where I would have to go to get one. I didn't hear back from the lady with the two juveniles. I'm getting a yellow parakeet, will be newly out of his nest in a week or two. He/she will be a companion for my parakeet/budgie Jo Jo. I had to part with a lot of my birds this weeks (30) so I had to really think it through. Maybe if things change down the road but for now, that's on hold. I'll just watch you enjoy yours, and yours have babies. I think if you just keep her warm and give her the vinegar...and do you have NV powder/or electrolytes? That's always good.I'm praying your little girl gets better! [-o<

Oh Justin, I understand now! I thought it was a mistake. Oh I know about express shipping! Gets you every time.
When your girl is all better, and her man is singing and love is in the air, I can follow their love story! :D
NV powder...Laraine has it on her site so you can look it up. The electrolytes would be good. It's always good when they're sick with anything or stressed. It might help her get to Tuesday a lot better. A good recipe is this if you don't have any readily made. Use 8 oz of warm water about 103 to 105 degrees F,
Add: 1/2 Tablespoon sugar, 1/8 teaspoon salt and 1/8 teaspoon baking soda.
Mix well. You can be keep it in the fridge for a few days.

Thanks Justin. Thank you. It sure was quiet here afterwards and took some getting used to. I hope Jo Jo teaches it to talk but I have a feeling he will forget to talk and will just be occupied with him/her. It's fine though. We'll watch his antics and that will be the trade off. I'll be happy he's happy!

Had a few finches that had over grown beaks when I had my avairy covered in plastic....

Could be lack of vitamin d3 causing over grown beaks

This is what I used and all beaks returned to normal
