On my birds' veggie tray they get a large slice of cucumber every third day ( I rotate with apple and corn on the cob). My Red Factor Canary hen immediately dives on it and 'bathes'. She makes sure she gets there first and switches, rubs and flutters all over it.

She had been going thru a molt, but her feathers are coming in beautifully. I wish I knew what health or beauty aid is in the cucumber.

I've had birds all my life and she's the first, and only one, I've ever seen doing this. Isn't nature amazing?

BTW, they get fresh bath water and drinking water daily, but she prefers that slab of cucumber!
