Finally we have success!! My waterslager hen finally has 2 chicks that have fledged. There were 4 chicks hatched but one died in nest soon after hatching and the other fledged early but was injured and died.
These two are doing well and look healthy. Mom is doing a great job feeding them I removed the dad cause she didn't want him around kept chasing him and pecking at him.....

Congrats on the waterslager babies! Had I gotten involved with waterslagers instead of timbrados, I'd probably still have a bunch of canaries. I hear that their song is very soft and unique - totally unobnoxious. I've heard it online but never in person. I've never even seen a waterslager for sale in Florida. Bob

30 seconds to Bob the male of this pair can really hold a note its amazing. He is one of my best singers.
I have 6 males a mix of Staffords, American Singers and just the 1 Waterslager. I am hoping one of the chicks is a male.
Thanks everyone for your comments.....

I don't think I will keep any unless one is a male and sings well. I have 6 males (different kinds) so I have reached my limit for space. I sell them to the local pet shop.
