Grumpy growing up!

Although they are technically passerines, canaries tend to be managed uniquely, so here is a forum just for them!

Very cute! With the dark skin pigmentation, I would have suspected more of a variegated or pied coloration. May still happen with the adult moult. Bob

30 Seconds to Bob

Bob, I think it will end up being a darker, variegated or pied. The colouring is getting darker all the time and you can clearly see the white patches in between now. A real chubby little baby!

Dad is doing feeding duty and mom is on eggs again

Grumpy is a sweetie! Is it a boy or girl, or is it too early to tell?

Zebrafincher It's too early to tell but I'm hoping it's a hen. Will have to wait and see though :)

jonvill I googled satinette canaries and they are gorgeous! This one may just turn out like that :D
