Chili my new Red Factor Canary Male

Although they are technically passerines, canaries tend to be managed uniquely, so here is a forum just for them!

Chili my new Red Factor Canary Male

Post by LadyGMom » Mon Nov 17, 2014 11:04 am

I picked this guy up at the Jackson BF from a well known recommended breeder of canaries and I must say I am smitten with this beautiful canary. He sings during the day with such a pretty song and is eating like there is no tomorrow. I went to get another friend for my Zebra girl but ended up bringing home this guy instead. They are sitting beside each other in separate cages and she seems to be loving the company.

Wow! What a vibrant red.
I'm envious. I have a red factored female and she's not quite as vibrantly red as yours. Congrats :D

Wait a minute! I'm in Mississippi too!!! We have a bird farm here? Where? Do they have other species besides canaries? Please share more details!

The color food is really only important during the molt. The feathers themselves, once formed, are not going to change

Going to find him a mate or just leave him single his whole life?
