Trixie is a very active little girl and doesn't hold still for pictures very well, so this is the best I can do at the moment. She had a little time out of the cage yesterday but I forgot to grab my phone before I let her out, so I didn't get one then, either.

She's a cutie. It looks like she's got some feather action happening there. Are those new fuzzie fluffies that I see?

Haha, she's got that suspicious look all my canaries got when I hold a picture taking device near them.
Such a pretty yellow.

No new feathers. Those are sticking up around the bald spot and are just what's left on her little head. Her front is yellow but her back has black and brown feathers. I think her head would be yellow, too, if she had any feathers there. LOL She's a dear sweet little thing and she's calmed down considerably just in a week. We had a nice little visit this evening, when she tweeted at me and I tweeted back and my starling sat on top of her own cage and yelled "I love you" a million times. If canaries could talk, Trix would be saying that soon because she hears Ringo saying it over and over.

I think you need to get some hair gel

and give her a little comb over. LOL. Just kidding.
I didn't know Starlings could talk. We get faily large family groups around here in the Summer, but all they do is squawk rather loudly.
Regarding Trixie, I really think that her feathers will grow back with a really good diet.

Glad she found a good home with you.
I bought a canary a little while back in very poor condition (pity buy too) and once I sorted out his ailments his head feathers grew back nicely. It did take quite a few months though. Basically his head feathers grew in only after he moulted.
I'm sure at this point in time she is content to have a nice new home with someone who cares (and doesn't care that she is missing a few feathers for now).
After her next moult she will be in stunning condition no doubt.

She's really coming out of her shell (ha ha) the last couple of days. She's been bouncing around and playing with all her toys and singing and chirping and she tilts her little head at me when I speak to her and chirps back at me. It took a week and a half, but she seems to realize, hey! All this stuff is MINE. I'm HOME. Ringo lands on her cage and talks and squawks at her and Trixie just looks up at her and doesn't seem a bit disturbed by it. I'm going to try letting her out again for a while today so she can fly around a bit.

Hello there,
What a sweet little bird! Trixie is very cute! Don't worry, she will grow her hair back. My star finch, Merl, was VERY bald when I got him, but has a nice crop of green feathers now. She looks like she will have a very happy life with you.
Kind Regards
