Trixie only makes noise in the morning. She starts warming up about 15 minutes after I uncover her, and she chirps and trills and sings for a couple of hours on and off and then doesn't make a sound after that for the rest of the day, other than the occasional soft kissing sound if I'm sitting by her cage talking to her. My other birds chatter all day long. Is that just a canary thing? She's still pretty nervous about me, too. She sits in the furthest corner on her favorite perch when I'm in the room and while she's less upset by cage cleaning than she was at first, she'd still rather I didn't.

My canaries are also pretty quiet throughout the day. A little noise in the morning and in the afternoon, but quiet throughout the day. Of course, this changes closer to the breeding season (around the end of February for me).
