Meet Sierra and Mysty! Mysty is a year old generic white canary. Sierra is a 3 month old red factor. Both are hens.

Hoping Walter and Mysty hit it off, and that one day Sierra will make a lovely mate for similarly young Weaver.

Congratulations Dylan.

They are lovely. I can't decide which one I like better, they are both so cute.

Weaver definitely looks interested, lol.

Funny, you have a Sierra, and I have a Siena :-).

Good luck with future Canar babies.

They look beautiful. A pairing between walter and mysty might not be advisable as they are both dominant white base color and that has a lethal gene combination (1/4 of offspring will not live= dis or shortly after hatching) although the ones that live will be fine. Remember, these are just statistics so just like its a 50/50 chance of getting male or female statistically, in actuality it doesn't always end up exactly half of each sex.

Atbird Oh no that's unfortunate. If the eggs just abort though I don't know if that's really unethical - that can happen from many other reasons too. Smaller clutch sizes aren't necessarily a big problem as I'm not raising for profit.
