That's beautiful. I never had the patience to breed/train for song, I prefer breeding for color. Lucky you, you have both .

Is he specially bred or did you just play nightingale song for him?

got the guy on sale at petsmart when he was 2months.
perfect age for the song school. so i gave it a shot. never done it before with color bred canaries. i had to custom make the song of the nightingale to adapt it and make it easier for him thought but i gues it worked.

I've never worked with a canary. I've taught songs and whistles to hookbills but never a canary.

Wow! What a song! Have you thought about getting him a bigger cage? Thats awfully small. I don't mean to criticise as he is a beautiful bird and you obviously look after him very well. Does he free fly inside the house?
Either way he is a gorgeous bird!

thanks. no the bird is going to stay on that cage. that is a standard canary cage so to me is not small. but this is another story
