nests(finches)

Although they are technically passerines, canaries tend to be managed uniquely, so here is a forum just for them!

nests(finches)

Post by mohum » Mon Mar 28, 2016 3:21 am

I need to remove the nest as my aviary is full. However the fledglings still use it for resting and at night as it is still quite cold here. There are more eggs appearing. Is it ok to just toss these until I can
take the nest away completely? I don't have room to separate the sexes.

Absolutely, toss any eggs that appear of you don't want them to hatch.

You can also replace them with fake eggs.
I love Gouldian Finches.
