Pairing up canaries for year 2

Although they are technically passerines, canaries tend to be managed uniquely, so here is a forum just for them!

Pairing up canaries for year 2

Post by Jamm972 » Tue Apr 19, 2016 10:04 pm

So here is a random odd ball question. I just read you should pair a Flighted bird with a non Flighted bird. That way they can teach the unflighted bird how to Do things more accurately. Is it wise to separate a good breeding pair I had this year and pair them up with a less experienced Canary next year to attempt at improving the breeding quality? Or should I stick to the pairs I know are working together?

Any suggestions ?
