Crested Russian canary

Although they are technically passerines, canaries tend to be managed uniquely, so here is a forum just for them!

Absolutely beautiful. What a mixed result!

What colour are the parents?

Sorry for the confusion. Those are 2 dark Timbrados not crested and 2 crested russian Canaries. The parents are 1 yellow male and 1 white crested female. Another Timbrado female raised the Russian Canaries.

Very Beautiful canaries. I also have crested babies. so far out of 2 clutches only 2 crested babies procured. The rest were normal heads. I Have a corona crested that I tried breeding this year but wasn't successful. I think he may have passed his breeding cycle and is now one of the elderly. :( was really hoping to pass on his gene pool. Hoping maybe next yeah he might try but if not its ok.
