Cuttlebone substitute

Although they are technically passerines, canaries tend to be managed uniquely, so here is a forum just for them!

Okay so ill make sure to do that, I have been giving them eggshell too since I've noticed they all really enjoy it, one of my societies i noticed today was actually breaking off and eating pieces from around the edges, is that okay? He won't choke or anything like that?

I am brand spanking new, trying to find out all I can lol

He should be fine; crop tears are a risk with eggshells but seem very rare, as most birds instinctually know what is safe to eat as far as minerals go.
