canary all alone

Although they are technically passerines, canaries tend to be managed uniquely, so here is a forum just for them!

Can I keep a canary all by itself, with out it being lonely?

They can be kept that way and do fine, as they're not as social as other birds and can be really aggressive to each other in cages.

(But in aviaries, I find they do like to flock during the summer, so they are not wholly antisocial, only for the breeding season.)
