Help with training

Although they are technically passerines, canaries tend to be managed uniquely, so here is a forum just for them!

Hi

Give her the option to take shelter or not..full sun is not good though with no escape from the heat. My cage at the top/back has the top 10-12" section covered so my 2 can retreat if they wish.

I did end up putting a dark towel over a part of the cage. She is quite active now and flys around a lot. Whenever she gets tired she goes back into her cage eats a bit and goes back out.

Whistles a lot as well. They aren't sad whistles either, very joyful!

Oh yes I understand that conversation thing. Do they usually just sit on a perch for an hour at midday?

All my canaries tend to have a siesta in the afternoon at some point and early evening.

When I go out to see them during their siesta you could hear a pin drop on both occasions.

During the winter they obviously dont have their early evening siesta.
