Canary Beak Question

Although they are technically passerines, canaries tend to be managed uniquely, so here is a forum just for them!

Canary Beak Question

Post by Birdlover2018 » Fri Jun 29, 2018 5:06 pm

I just recently noticed my canary has a slight pinkish or red colouring around her beak (the area where the beak meets the feathers). Is this just her skin showing through that area? I'm not sure if its normal as well, but it looks like a new feather is coming out of that area and growing out past the point where the feathers meet the beak.

Yes it might be skin. Make sure that no other bird has been bullying her.
Have a nice day!
