need canary info

Although they are technically passerines, canaries tend to be managed uniquely, so here is a forum just for them!

need canary info

Post by Tish » Thu Jul 26, 2018 8:16 pm

How hard is it to take care of canaries compared to society finches? How loud are they compared to a society finch? Can you keep a canary alone? I have a single flight cage with 6 society finches, could a lone canary live with them in there? I'am thinking about getting a young male from Kijiji in august. Just want to do research before I make a final decision.

Another question are they as loud as a budgie?

Hi I spoke to you on a different forum. 6 finches and a canary in one flight cage will be cramped. I have had both together and the canary got agitated by the finches. A flight cage is smaller than my 1st avairy. A canary needs space.

A canary is a canary ..a finch is a finch
