Re: Just male
I have a large aviary, 18' x 6', with Canaries. Even in an aviary that large, some males will fight. I take
the most rowdy males out during the breeding season.

Re: Just male
All birds are different. I heard recently from another breeder that he keeps all males together away from females when it's not breeding season. I've done that successfully with flight cages the last few months without issue.
Go ahead and put them together and watch for trouble makers.

Yes, without any females males get along fairly well. I have a bonded male pair.

I think it might depend on the particular Canary strain that you have, or even diet. If I practice what Rob and Sheather suggest, at least some blood would be spilled.
