noisy Female Canaries

Although they are technically passerines, canaries tend to be managed uniquely, so here is a forum just for them!

noisy Female Canaries

Post by goldfinchowl » Wed Sep 04, 2019 8:23 pm

have 2 Spanish Timbrado FEMALE canaries.

I got females because I was looking for a Quiet bird.

But they give a Whistle like piecing call, throughout the day.
One does it whenever I come near her cage to feed or clean her, which sets off the other one.
They r in different cages.
They both do it especially in the morning and evening.

When im on the phone people can hear it and call it loud, even when im not by the canaries.
They are in my livingroom in my apartment.

Are all female Canaries like this?
Is this the breed?

Is there any way to stop them whistle? [-X

They don't do it all the time. They have softer chirps and tweets but occasionally they get started and no way to stop them.

Is it because they r 2 females?

Really need some help on this #-o
