Breeding/Keeping Budgies?

Post by DanteD716 » Tue Sep 04, 2012 6:06 pm

Of course I love my finches, and cannot wait to get more!

But does anybody have info on breeding budgies, every place says the same thing. I think I may want to get another pair.. I also like bourkes and scarlet chested keets. Thanks!

Well i know a single hen can produce 9 eggs(that i know of) in one clutch without double clutching(can you imagine 18 babies?!)
They are small birds(uhduh)

I think you should get you a nice opaline male :)
and what about your female?

My male is opaline. He is sky blue (possibly violet) opaline, recessive pied.

The female is opaline, yellow face type 2, dominant pied sky blue.

And that is a large clutch!

I'm not sure what I want to know really, but it seem ssomething is missing.. Not sure if I am making it clear.. I think it may be because I know so much on finches, and the budgie forums just give you the basics
