Two things I have learned....

Post by cindy » Thu Aug 09, 2012 8:47 am

1. Keep your breakfast close

2. Parrotlets are fast and silent

Rummy had his own little piece of a zucchini walnut muffin on a napkin, I had the rest. I was busy typing an email...I looked down and there he is mining for walnuts in mine....

Sally, he is a mess! If he wasn't so cute....you should see him with organic tomato sauce!

Liz, he eats as he walks, plus he was looking for bits of walnuts so everything else gets flung about!

My Gray use to call the dogs in my voice and say "you want a cookie" ... I could not figure out why the dogs would run to me in another room and sit right in front of me....that was until I caught him doing it.

he would also say to them.. "want to go out?" I would find both sitting by the sliding door, thinking to myself "why would they need to go out so much?"

Rummy does not chatter in parrot now, he has picked up a large bit of sayings. He sits on his cage and runs through them over and over.

LOL =)) Cindy,
Sonny does the same stuff! She always wants what we're eating and not what I put on a separate plate for her to eat. Even if she gets what we're eating! She is fast too and will take a piece of cereal out of our bowl or take food from the finches plates, as I prepare them. She doesn't want what is on her plate, but anyone else's.

Sonny also makes a mess by eating on my shoulder and not on her perch or next to her dish. She takes a bite and crawls up my arm to sit and eat, with crumbs falling onto my shirt. They are so funny!
