When will the female lay an egg?

Post by richierick » Thu Aug 09, 2012 4:22 pm

Hey everyone. I have a couple of questions that I would like to ask.
1st. How to tell if a female is with egg? I notice from my female cockatiel, that it has a bump just above the rectum and its feces are more watery than usual.
2nd. How long, after mating, will the female lay it's first egg? I saw my cockatiel pair mate just 3 days ago and still no sign of an egg.
3rd. If a female egg is fertile when will the egg hatch and when will it mature?

I don't know anything about cockatiels--hopefully someone will be on to help you. Is this your new pearl?
